Market Summary:
In recent videos, I presented two different statistics about the seasonal strength we tend to see in the first 2-3 weeks of July. So far, so good. The first week of July saw a +3.5% gain for the Nasdaq Composite and a +1.95% gain for the S&P 500. From here, I could see the strength continuing, however, the market is currently extended. It’s possible that we can get more extended, but keep in mind that I’m always talking in terms of probabilities. What’s more likely is a sideways consolidation, or a normal pullback over the near-term. Again, this is only mentioned for people who like to be tactical over the short-term and vary their investment levels. If you have a longer-term timeframe, please get those strong entry points and deal with normal pullbacks and volatility along the way.

If we do see a pullback, I’m not expecting anything major or anything sustained. Between the strong technicals and the consistently large put writing, it makes me believe that any pullbacks into August will be contained around the 3% range. As always, I will take this day-by-day and update you if anything major comes up. In the meantime, stick with the rules of exposing yourself to strong stocks/ETFs, getting strong entry points, and managing your trades as best as possible. Thank you and enjoy the remainder of the weekend!
