Market Summary:
I’m doing my best to shut out the noise, keep things simple, and stick to my main guidelines during power trends: 1) Use the 21-day as your guide. In other words, if we are extended from this level, don’t be surprised to see minor pullbacks through price and/or through time. 2) Expose yourself to strong stocks and ETFs. Between the Focus List and the other stocks, there are plenty of ideas in these videos. 3) Get strong entry points near the 21-day and 50-day moving averages. 4) Manage your trades as best as possible based on your timeframe, risk tolerance, and overall investment plan. I can give guidelines, but ultimately, you need to decide what position sizes to use, the number of positions to own, when to take profits, and where to set your stop losses. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week.

From 9/19/25 Zevra Therapeutics (ZVRA) with a large unusual trade this week as 10,000 December $5 puts sold to buy 10,000 January $9/$14 call spreads, and a name with unusual buys of 3000 November $10 calls last month. ZVRA has also seen three insiders buy over $200K in stock since August 19th. ZVRA shares have pulled back 35% off July highs but right at key VPOC and trend support with a weekly bull reversal hammer forming. ZVRA has 12.3% of its float short. ZVRA also screens as a potential M&A target and on 8/21 was featured on Betaville saying there was M&A interest. EMA approval for the recent application with a 120 day response deadline is also a potential driver of the activity.
Zevra Therapeutics is a commercial-stage rare disease biopharma company that achieved a transformational inflection point in 2025, driven by the commercial ramp of MIPLYFFA® (arimoclomol) for Niemann-Pick disease type C (NPC), advances in its pipeline, and strategic monetization of non-dilutive assets. The company’s recent quarters reflect surging top-line growth, vastly improved liquidity, but also underscore ongoing operational and market access execution challenges as it transitions fully to a commercial model.
ZVRA is small with a market cap of just $445M and trades 2.2X Cash and on the surface looks cheap with revenues forecasted to surpass $255M in FY27 from $100M in FY25. In Q2, Zevra reported net revenue of $25.9 million, up 484% year-over-year, primarily fueled by $21.5 million in MIPLYFFA net sales and further supplemented by expanded French EAP (Expanded Access Program) reimbursement and royalty streams. The sale of Zevra’s Priority Review Voucher (PRV) for $150 million in April provided a significant one-time balance sheet boost. Zevra exited Q2 with a formidable $217.7 million cash position, expected to fund pipeline and commercial activities into 2027.
Zevra’s commercial execution for MIPLYFFA was the key revenue catalyst. Since its 2024 launch, the drug reached 129 total prescription enrollments and 52% market access coverage of commercial U.S. lives by Q2, with momentum building among prescribers and new scripts growing quarter-over-quarter. Progress on OLPRUVA, Zevra’s ultra-orphan therapy for urea cycle disorders (UCD), has been slower, with only 28 total enrollment forms by Q2 despite strong payer coverage. The company is recalibrating its UCD go-to-market strategy and optimizing support for prescribers to unlock more meaningful growth.
Meanwhile, the pipeline remains a source of substantial future optionality. Zevra has submitted a Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) to the EMA for use of arimoclomol in NPC, opening the door to European sales in 2026, and continues to advance its Phase 3 DiOVER trial for celiprolol in vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Out-licensing of non-core assets also remains a theme, as management increases focus on rare/ultra-rare indications with clear market leadership potential.
