8) 21:25 Conclusion/Summary
Market Summary:
In recent videos, I’ve discussed the biggest positive in the market: There are tons of growth stocks acting well. Stocks with strong fundamentals and strong technicals, and I continue to review them in these videos. The biggest negative is the weight of the market, and I’ve pointed out the distribution days over the past few weeks. What’s the conclusion from all this? I’m staying defensive until I see healthier conditions. So far this year for the Nasdaq Composite, it’s been one day down, two days up, five days down, and one day up today. Overall, this is a choppy environment and not one that suits my style. I’m looking for a SUSTAINED uptrend, and I still don’t see one developing over the near-term. If the major indexes can get back above their respective 50-day moving averages on some decent volume AND stay there, then I would feel more confident about a new power trend. For now, I am keep things light until conditions improve. Again, please don’t confuse defensive with bearish. As always, what you should do depends on your OWN situation and your overall investment plan. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week.
