Market Summary:
I still think the market does well into year-end with minimal downside. However, I’m certainly not complacent. In this video, I discuss how breadth is deteriorating and it is something I will definitely be watching over the near-term. Whenever this happens, either the rest of the market stabilizes and the breadth improves, or the breadth gets so weak that it brings the rest of the market down. Either way, I’m not expecting this to be a big factor over the next two weeks, as the seasonality tends to be strong. Overall, I’m sticking with my winners (while taking some profits into strength), and cutting losses on any positions that are breaking support. Again, I’m doing my best to keep things simple.

Remember the main guidelines during power trends: 1) Use the 21-day as your guide. In other words, if we are extended from this level, don’t be surprised to see minor pullbacks through price or through time. 2) Expose yourself to strong stocks and ETFs. I present plenty of ideas in these videos. 3) Get strong entry points near the 21-day and 50-day moving averages. 4) Stick to your stops. Just because it’s a bull market, it doesn’t mean EVERY trade is going to work. You still have to manage risk. 5) Manage your trades as best as possible based on your timeframe. I can give guidelines, but ultimately, you need to decide what position sizes to use, the number of positions to own, and when to take profits. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and good luck next week!
