10) 36:55 Conclusion/Summary

Market Summary:
In this video, I discuss three concepts and do my best to tie them into the market commentary section. 1) Cut your losses. When many members joined during the 2022 bear market, they asked me to help them get their losses back. I obviously can’t do that, but what I can try to do is help prevent major losses from occurring in the future. The main way to do this is to encourage you to have some form of a loss cutting discipline. Some people use a percentage stop, some use a dollar stop, and some use a technical stop. There is no right or wrong answer, but you have to a least have SOMETHING in place. My guideline is a Friday decisive close below the 10-week moving average. 2) Being flexible. It is important to be able to change your mind when the facts change. Coming into this year, I was expecting a strong year with minimal volatility. That was working very well during the first quarter. When the facts changed over the past week or two, I had to be flexible, adapt my views, and cut my losses. I’ve been approximately 50-95% invested most of this year, but I reduced to under 20% invested as of Friday’s close. 3) The news. Many people want to know the reason behind this week’s decline. In my view, it doesn’t matter. I try to keep things simple, and all I know is that the market broke key levels of institutional support.

I mentioned in the MidWeek Video that if we didn’t recover by the end of the week, to please STICK TO YOUR STOPS AND MANAGE RISK. I tried to be patient with the market, but when the weakness continued, I was forced to stop myself out of many positions. From here, I plan to remain VERY DEFENSIVE. I’ll wait for signs of the selling to stop, wait for the volatility to calm down, and look for a follow through day. All of this will take some time. In the meantime, I will keep a watch list of the best relative strength stocks I can find, so we can be ready for the next uptrend. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Monday, April 22nd at 7PM EST. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
