Market Summary:
In this video, I review the price action since early November. The technicals improved considerably, as we saw two O’Neil follow through days, a rare Zweig Breadth Thrust, and the major indexes regained their 50-day moving averages. The main reason for this strength was the Federal Reserve signaling they are done with their current rate-hiking cycle. Since then, the market has shown continued strength, as the Nasdaq Composite has seen accumulation over the past three weeks. In addition, the market rally is broadening out, as the small cap (IWM) and mid cap (MDY) indexes outperformed this past week.

Going forward, I am still expecting strength into January. This will be a “buy the dip” market with normal pullbacks along the way. Does this mean be reckless and undisciplined? Of course not! Please keep in mind to stay focused on the strongest stocks, get strong entry points, and stick to a loss-cutting policy when a position breaks below those key moving averages. As far as new entry points, please use the 21-day EMA as your guide. If you are underinvested and struggling with FOMO, please use lighter positions for new buys until we see a normal pullback. As always, I encourage you to make decisions based on your own timeframe and overall investment objectives. If you don’t have a plan, please continue to work on fine-tuning your strategy. One final note, due the market being closed this Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, I will post the MidWeek Video a day earlier, by Tuesday November 21st at 8PM EST. Thank you and good luck this week!
