Market Summary:
In this video, I remind members of two themes: 1) Use the 21-day moving average as your guide for indexes, ETFs, and stocks. 2) Continue to work on your process and fine-tuning your overall plan depending on if you’re a trader or investor. Right now, the Nasdaq Composite is extended and I’m expecting a normal pullback/consolidation over the next week or two. We’re still in an uptrend, but we will continue to see pullbacks. That’s why I stress the importance of getting strong entry points, so you can deal with the normal volatility along the way.
I realize there are some sectors that are weak and the overall breadth needs improvement, but I’m still going to stick to my plan. I am focused on the larger cap names that continue to act well and I’m going to manage my positions as best as I can. For example, with the names on the focus list, I am doing my best to play out longer-term moves into year-end, as I expect them to move higher over the next 6-12 months. I will also trade some positions and scale into new ones, and I discuss a few of these in this video. I can’t review every stock in every video, but if you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Saturday, June 3rd and 11AM EST. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week!
