Market Summary:
I’ve discussed my market outlook over two different timeframes in recent videos. Shorter-term (until the end of September), I am expecting volatility for two reasons: 1) We are a little extended on the Nasdaq Composite and a pullback to the 21-day would be normal over the next week or two. 2) September is traditionally a weak and volatile month, especially with end-of-the-quarter portfolio adjustments coming up. Medium-term (until the end of the year), I am bullish for the reasons I discuss in this video. The main reason is the price action of stocks. So many names across many sectors continue to act well.
As always, I encourage members to make decisions based on their own timeframe. Develop a trading/investing style that works for you and your personality. In this video, I present many stocks that I like into year-end, but I want to stress the importance of getting strong entry points. Do not chase extended stocks! For example, many of the software names are currently extended from proper buy points, so keep them on your watchlist and wait for a pullback to the 21-day or 50-day to enter a position. If you are already in them and have a longer-term timeframe, then hopefully you have a strong entry point and can deal with normal pullbacks along the way. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your long weekend!
