Market Summary:
A strong, new uptrend is coming soon in growth stocks but you have to be patient right now until conditions improve. We still need a valid follow through day on the Nasdaq Composite, and for the index to get back above its 50-day moving average. Most importantly, we need to see more stocks setting up. I’m finding some, but I would like to see more before getting aggressively back in this market. As I mentioned in previous videos, what is making things difficult right now is that there’s two different markets. Growth is correcting, while other sectors are in decent uptrends. One possible solution is to have a blend of growth stocks that are holding up well and some ETFs to give you broad exposure to other sectors. Either way, I still recommend keeping positions light until we get confirmation of a new uptrend. Again, patience is required right now.

Another reason to keep positions light is that the end of the quarter tends to result in higher than normal volatility. Portfolio rebalancing and other factors can lead to wider movements in the market towards the end of the quarter. By using lighter positions, it can help you stay in a stock that you might otherwise get stopped out of. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Sunday, March 21st at 7PM EST. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
