8) 22:55 Conclusion/Summary

Market Summary:
I try my best to keep things simple. The Nasdaq Composite broke out after the Presidential election, got extended, and then came back to retest its recent breakout. Over the past few days, the Nasdaq and S&P 500 have been consolidating on lighter volume around their respective 21-day EMAs. I view this as normal price action. In this video, I show a chart of the average November (I misspoke and said September in the video) since 1950. Some seasonal weakness would be normal over the next few days, but overall, I’m not expecting any significant downside. Maybe the market needs to shake out some of the recent excess bullishness before heading higher later this year. Again, please keep it simple and try not to overcomplicate things.

Remember the main guidelines during power trends: 1) Use the 21-day as your guide. In other words, if we are extended from this level, don’t be surprised to see minor pullbacks through price or through time. 2) Expose yourself to strong stocks and ETFs. I present plenty of ideas in these videos. 3) Get strong entry points near the 21-day and 50-day moving averages. 4) Stick to your stops. Just because it’s a bull market, it doesn’t mean EVERY trade is going to work. You still have to manage risk. 5) Manage your trades as best as possible based on your timeframe. I can give guidelines, but ultimately, you need to decide what position sizes to use, the number of positions to own, and when to take profits. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week.
