Market Summary:
The theme of this video is entry point, entry point, and entry point. I would like to remind all members to use the 21-day and 50-day moving averages as your guide when analyzing charts. Not only are those areas safer for entering positions, but they can also help to provide perspective in between videos. So far this week, we have seen some distribution on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite. While I’m certainly not complacent, I am also not panicking because the indexes were extended and needed to digest their recent gains. In other words, a pullback to the 21-day is normal.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve increased my investment levels from approximately 10% to 40% invested. From here, I would like to observe how the indexes react around those key averages. If the selling slows down and stocks start to setup, I can always increase my levels. If the selling intensifies and we break below those averages, I will likely reduce my exposure. As I mentioned in recent videos, the price action is SLOWLY improving and I would still like to give the market time to prove itself. I am staying very open-minded and I’m in no rush to get aggressively involved in this market. As I’ve said, if the market continues to prove itself, there will be plenty of time to make money. In the meantime, I’m still keeping positions light to help reduce both volatility and overall emotions. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Saturday, January 21st at 11AM EST. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week!
