Market Summary:
One of the biggest questions market participants are asking is: have we started a new bull market? Or is this just a rally in a bear market? Of course, no one knows and we don’t find out until after the fact, but I encourage members to keep it simple. As Jesse Livermore says, just focus on whether we’re in an uptrend or a downtrend. Right now, were in an uptrend and the positives include: leading stocks are acting well, leadership is broadening out, sentiment is fairly muted, institutions continue to put money to work, and it looks like future rate hikes will occur at a slower pace. Of course, we’re not out of the woods completely. We’re still below the 200-day moving average on the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500, August and September are traditionally two of the weaker months of the year, and if inflation rises again, the Fed will have to get more aggressive with rate hikes.

My conclusion is the same. I’m going to stay focused on the strongest stocks and ETFs while also keeping some cash for the inevitable pullbacks. In this video, I address why I’ve been keeping my investment levels around 40-60%. As always, I encourage members to do what works for their own risk tolerance and overall investment objectives. If you have any questions about anything in this video or would like me to review any stocks not mentioned, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Monday, August 15th at 7PM EST. Thank you and enjoy the remainder of your weekend.
