Market Summary:
After Tuesday’s strong day in the market, I emailed a Market Note to Members saying that the strength over the past few weeks bodes well for further strength over the next 6 to 12 months, but to expect some consolidation over the near-term. I view the pullback on Wednesday and Thursday as normal. It occurred on lighter volume and should be expected to digest the recent gains. If this is a new uptrend, I stress in this video to get strong entry points and to use the 21-day moving average as your guide. If you vary your investment levels, you can take profits when we get extended from the 21-day, and look to buy back on the inevitable pullbacks to this level. If you are a longer-term investor, then don’t panic when the market has these normal pullbacks. Again, use the 21-day EMA as your guide.
The other point I stress in this video is how I use the price action of stocks to help evaluate the overall health of the market. This not only helps to shut out the noise, but also keeps you from overthinking the macro picture. Right now, there are many stocks across several sectors that are acting well, and I review examples in this video. As always, get strong entry points and manage risk based on your timeframe and investment objectives. Good luck next week and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
