8) 32:00 Conclusion/Summary
Market Summary:
We’ve seen some positive developments in the markets (specifically in growth sectors) over the past two weeks. The positives: 1) The major indexes are above their 50-day moving averages 2) The institutional selling has slowed down 3) Some excess bullish sentiment has been taken out of the market 4) Growth stocks are acting better and showing stronger price action. The negatives: 1) June tends to be a more volatile month and the news cycle will shift more to interest rates and geopolitical concerns. 2) There are some gaps lower that might need to get filled in the major indexes 3) Many FAANG stocks still need to prove themselves 4) I would still like to see more setups in stocks. There are some acting well, but not the large amount I would like to see before a sustained uptrend.
Conclusion: I feel that we will be in a range during the month of June. I don’t see any sustained downside because the Fed is on our side, and every time we start to drop, sentiment gets very negative very quickly, giving the market a little bit of a floor to it. I also don’t see any sustained upside over the near-term because there aren’t enough stocks setting up. The best thing to do right now is stay FOCUSED on the strongest growth stocks out there (which I review in this video). I feel they will provide the best probabilities of success over the near-term. I would also keep positions light and have some cash on hand in case we do see some volatility later in the month. Eventually, I think we break out of this range on the Nasdaq Composite to the upside, but patience is still required. It might happen next month as the market begins to anticipate the next round of quarterly earnings. As always, I will take this one day at a time and do my best to provide the strongest analysis in these videos and webinars.
The next webinar will be Tuesday, June 1st (in the evening EST time). As soon as I finalize the time, I will email all the members the Zoom link. Enjoy the rest of your long weekend and see you on Tuesday! Thank you.
