Market Summary:
The market held its key levels to start the week. The S&P 500 held its 50-day and the Nasdaq Composite and Russell 2000 held their 21-day moving averages. Overall, the market continues to be incredibly resilient. The liquidity and sector rotation makes it very tough to fight. That’s why I’ve repeatedly said that it’s ok to be cautious at times, but you can’t get overly bearish. One of the biggest positives is how there’s very little distribution on the Nasdaq Composite and that many of the Mega Caps names in that index are just starting to emerge from 5-6 month consolidations (i.e. MSFT, AMZN, NVDA). Over the near-term, I would like to see some sideways movement to digest the strength from earlier in the week. If we consolidate on light volume and some stocks start to form handles, it could set us up for the next leg higher. As always, I will take this day-by-day and present any stocks that are providing safe entry points. I mention several of them in this video. Good luck for the remainder of the week!
