It was a strong week for the markets and nice to see the major indexes get back above their 50-day moving averages. Overall, the volume for last week’s increase was stronger than the previous week’s decline, which is a bullish sign. I have a feeling that in hindsight, we will look at the market’s recent drop as one big shakeout ahead of the election. From here, I expect to see some consolidation and for more stocks to setup. Right now, the majority of the strength that’s been showing up on my screens are coming from the Semiconductor and Biotech/Medical sectors. As the market showed better health last week, I increased my exposure to approximately 60% invested.

The common theme I’ve heard from many traders recently is frustration. Mostly frustration about missing out. Please keep in mind we are in this for the long run. Please keep your head up, continue to do post analysis of your work, and don’t beat yourself up. The kind of strength we saw last week has only happened 3 other times in history. The good news is that this strength usually leads to more strength down the road, so please stay focused and lean towards the bullish side. There will be plenty of opportunities coming up and I will continue to put out more content to help members along the way. See you at the next webinar this Monday, November 9th at 7:30PM EST.
