Market Summary:
The theme continues to be patience and discipline until market conditions improve. The Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 continue to see selling pressure and both indexes are sitting on their 200-day moving averages. From here, I would like to see these levels hold and see the big institutions come back into the market with more CONSISTENT buying. Again, this will require patience. If the selling continues and some of my stocks break below their key averages, I will stick to my loss cutting discipline and reduce my exposure. As I’ve discussed in many videos, taking losses and having risk management should be a part of EVERYONE’S strategy.

Although I encourage defense right now, I am not going to get overly bearish because I don’t think we are heading into a prolonged bear market. There are still secular growth themes that I like longer term, and I think many of these stocks and sectors will resume their uptrends as soon as the selling pressure stops. Again, this will require patience. As always, please know your timeframe and adjust your positions based on your risk tolerance. There’s nothing wrong with sitting out and/or keeping your positions light until we see better health. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week.
