Market Summary:
This past Monday, the Nasdaq Composite bounced off its 200-day moving average, and that day is considered Day 1 of a rally attempt. On Monday evening, I emailed a Market Note to Members discussing what to look for after Monday. So far this week, Tuesday and Wednesday were lower volatility days on successively lighter volume. More importantly to me, the price action of many growth stocks continues to be strong beneath the surface. We’re not out of the woods yet and it could still be volatile over the near-term, but I’ll be looking for a potential follow through day (FTD) starting on Thursday. It could possibly occur next week during NVDA’s GTC event.

Please keep in mind that I’m always open-minded and I will be flexible if the facts change. For example, if we take out Monday’s low, then the FTD count would reset and I would look to raise cash. Also, the market will continue to be volatile until we get a FTD, so please keep positions light. As I mention in this video, I would like to observe how stocks act around those key moving averages to get a better feel for the market’s overall health.
