Market Summary:
In this video, I discuss two themes. 1) Regarding the general market: KEEP IT SIMPLE! The major indexes are in uptrends, they are all above their 50-day moving averages, there’s little distribution, stocks are acting well, and the upcoming seasonality is favorable. 2) Regarding entry points: Use the 21-day as your guide. I feel that the market can continue higher over the near-term, but it will not be straight up. We will see many shakeouts along the way, so please use the 21-day to give you perspective when we see normal pullbacks. My biggest concern is the high investment levels shown in many sentiment surveys, however, I’m not expecting any meaningful correction until next year. As always, I will take this one day at a time.
I’m going to continue to shut out the noise, keep things simple, and stick to my main guidelines during power trends: 1) Use the 21-day as your guide. In other words, if we are extended from this level, don’t be surprised to see minor pullbacks through price and/or through time. 2) Expose yourself to strong stocks and ETFs. Between the Focus List and the other stocks, there are plenty of ideas in these videos. 3) Get strong entry points near the 21-day and 50-day moving averages. 4) Manage your trades as best as possible based on your timeframe, risk tolerance, and overall investment plan. I can give guidelines, but ultimately, you need to decide what position sizes to use, the number of positions to own, when to take profits, and where to set your stop losses. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next LIVE webinar, which will be this Monday, December 29th at 7PM EST. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Write-up on Planet Labs (Symbol: PL)
Planet Labs – Here’s a small company with a very interesting story: Planet Labs was founded by ex-NASA scientists to provide the most comprehensive high-resolution imagery of Earth on a near-continuous basis—the firm’s more than 160 satellites in orbit (including a few different types that have differing capabilities based on resolution, spectral bands and more) have produced the biggest imagery dataset out there (going back to 2017), covering hundreds of millions of square miles, and of course now that imagery is being combined with AI tools to provide clients with the ability to quickly analyze changes in infrastructure, objects and activities. Militaries are big customers, making up about 60% of revenue, monitoring unfriendly actors on land and sea, but there are also applications for civil government (23% of revenue) and business (16% of revenue), such as an energy firm spotting methane gas leaks in a drilling area, crop monitoring across hundreds of acres or general infrastructure monitoring. Meanwhile, the firm continues to expand its satellite fleet and should have a new, higher-spec offering (dubbed Owl) launched late next year. Contracts here tend to be multi-year, and in the past few quarters, Planet Labs has been inking a ton of deals—the backlog at the end of October was $734 million, up from $232 million a year prior—with lots more potential large deals in discussion as the benefits of its offerings grow. Right now, Planet Labs is still a small outfit, with Q3 revenue of $81 million (up 33% from a year ago), but growth has been accelerating, free cash flow is in the black (earnings are near breakeven) and management sounded confident that 30%-ish top-line growth should continue through at least next year. Shares have had a big run from the low single digits in 2024 and could need some seasoning—but we’re impressed with PL’s recent resilience as many growth stocks flop around (helped by a big earnings gap two weeks ago) and as institutional sponsorship builds (363 funds own shares, up from 268 six months ago). Overall, it’s a good story that could go far.
