Market Summary:
Shorter-term, keep your expectations realistic. As I’ve discussed in recent videos, I’m expecting a normal pullback/consolidation over the next two months. Longer-term, we’re still in a bull market powered by AI. The main thing I continue to stress is to know your time frame. Actively managing a portfolio of stocks is not easy. It involves putting in the work, patience, discipline, and mental toughness. It’s not for everyone. If you are going to do it, please accept that you will never get the highs or the lows. Learn to make decisions and be ok with them. In this video, I remind members to stay mentally tough and to NOT get frustrated. I also discuss ways to minimize frustration such as using lighter positions, expanding your time frame, and utilizing index/sector ETFs.

From here, I’m going to keep my positions light and wait patiently for better entry points. Another thing I would like to stress is please don’t get too bearish. I’m not expecting a major decline from here, especially because we just had a 20% decline earlier this year. I’m simply going to pay attention to relative strength and update you in these videos when anything important shows up. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

8/7/25 American Resources (AREC) unusual 2800 Jan 1.50 calls bought, could get picked up as rare earth play

American Resources Corporation (AREC) is a US-based raw materials company focused on the extraction, processing, and supply of critical minerals and rare earth elements that are essential for global infrastructure, electrification, and national defense. The company generates most of its revenue through three major segments: American Infrastructure (involved in metallurgical coal mining), ReElement Technologies (its subsidiary which refines and separates high-purity rare earth oxides and battery metals such as lithium and cobalt), and Electrified Materials Corporation (focused on advanced material supply for lithium-ion batteries and semiconductors). While the coal segment previously dominated, recent strategic initiatives have shifted the business toward rare earth and battery materials as AREC seeks to build a vertically integrated, sustainable supply chain supporting the U.S. and allied nations’ infrastructure and defense sectors. This pivot is highlighted by production expansions at its Noblesville, Indiana facility, and strategic partnerships—such as a 2025 initiative with the American Samoa Economic Development Authority and Impossible Metals to develop a mineral refinery, aiming to leverage ReElement’s refining capabilities for U.S.-based, non-China-dependent supply chains. The company serves a broad base of industrial and defense customers, with no single-customer concentration risk. Key suppliers include mining feedstock providers and recycling partners, as the company processes both freshly mined and waste materials. The majority of AREC’s operating expenses are tied to the capital costs of facility expansions, raw material procurement, and ongoing R&D in refining and separation technologies. Financially, AREC reported sharply declining revenue in 2024 and 2025 as legacy coal operations waned, with significant losses continuing even as order and investment momentum built for new business lines. The last reported annual revenue was below $400,000 for 2024, representing a more-than 97% decline from the previous year, and the company has operated at a net loss for several years, largely due to heavy reinvestment and restructuring costs.
