Market Summary:
We had a follow through day (FTD) on Tuesday, April 22, and a second FTD on Wednesday, April 23. In addition, we had various breadth thrusts (including a Zweig Breath Thrust) which I reviewed in the 4/26/25 Weekend Video. The price action in growth stocks continues to improve, as many of the relative strength names highlighted in recent videos continue to act well. The major indexes are back above their 50-day moving averages but still below their 200-day moving averages. Bottom line, the overall health of the market continues to slowly improve.

CONCLUSION: For me, I am approximately 70% invested. I’m still not sure if this is a short covering rally back to the 200-day that will eventually fail, or if this is the start of a new powertrend. By staying 70%, if the market moves higher, I will hopefully participate, and if we see more downside, I will hopefully be able to contain the volatility with the 30% cash position. This upcoming week could see more strength as the week of regular cycle Options Expiration (OpEx) tends to trend to the upside. In addition, there are headlines over the weekend of improved tariff talks between the US and China. As I always remind members, know your timeframe and get those strong entry points. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next LIVE webinar, which will be this Monday, May 12th at 7PM EST. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing Moms out there!
