Market Summary:
The Nasdaq Composite bounced off its 21-day around mid-November, and it’s been a strong run over the past 3 weeks. Currently, the index is 3.4% extended from its 21-day, so don’t be surprised to see some form of a consolidation over the near-term. Again, please keep in mind that I always talk in terms of probabilities and that the market can digest its recent gains through price and/or through time. Even if the market pulls back, I’m not expecting anything significant, as the backdrop remains strong. This is where getting strong entry points and knowing your timeframe comes into play.

Remember the main guidelines during power trends: 1) Use the 21-day as your guide. In other words, if we are extended from this level, don’t be surprised to see minor pullbacks through price or through time. 2) Expose yourself to strong stocks and ETFs. I present plenty of ideas in these videos. 3) Get strong entry points near the 21-day and 50-day moving averages. 4) Stick to your stops. Just because it’s a bull market, it doesn’t mean EVERY trade is going to work. You still have to manage risk. 5) Manage your trades as best as possible based on your timeframe. I can give guidelines, but ultimately, you need to decide what position sizes to use, the number of positions to own, and when to take profits. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and good luck next week!
