7) 25:25 Conclusion/Summary
Market Summary:
To the members who took advantage of this recent strength in the markets, I applaud you. Continue to stay focused, stay disciplined, and congratulate yourself for making progress. For the members who are frustrated that they missed part (or most) of this recent rally, I addressed ways to make improvements for about eight minutes in last weekend’s video. In this video, I tried to summarize it into three points: 1) Don’t beat yourself up. Protect your confidence and make sure your self-talk is strong. We are in this for the long run, and there are times the market will catch us off-guard. 2) Don’t fight the Fed. The main reason I got back in quickly was the Fed. I give some historical examples of how a change in Fed policy (interest rates or an accommodative stance) can lead to a follow through day. 3) You have to be able to make decisions. If you struggle with this, work on making them with smaller positions, and continue to build your confidence.
Regarding the current market, the strength continued today after a weaker than expected inflation (CPI) report. The market is adjusting for a lower-rate environment going forward. You could really see it today in the Russell 2000 (a “risk-on” index), which was up over 5%. From here, I would expect some sideways consolidation. Please stay focused on the best stocks and be patient for better entries. I realize the market is very strong, but for new purchases, I prefer members show discipline and at least wait for a pullback to the 10-day moving average. As always, stick to your plan and know your timeframe. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Saturday, November 18th at 11AM EST. Thank you and good luck for the rest of the week.
