Market Summary:
The price action of the major indexes continues to show consistent improvement. For the most part, the up days are occurring on strong volume and the down/sideways days are coming on lighter volume. For example, so far this week, Monday was a strong accumulation day and the pullback on Tue/Wed occurred on lighter volume. In this video, I remind members not to overthink things when we have down days. Most of the time it’s because we are extended from the 21-day and need a normal pullback. Again, please keep it simple! From here, I would like to see the Nasdaq Composite regain its 200-day and the S&P 500 consistently STAY ABOVE its 200-day. I am currently 50% invested because I would still like to see the market prove itself and also because the Fed is still raising rates. We are likely to get more clarity on interest rates after next Wednesday’s Fed meeting.
Overall, I really liked the price action beneath the surface on Wednesday. Many stocks found support near their 21-days and the major indexes closed in the higher end of their range. I still think we need to consolidate sideways over the near-term to digest the recent gains. Just remember to use the 21-day as your guide and cut losses on any decisive Friday close below the 10-week. In this video, there are plenty of ideas from many of the leading sectors. One last note, this Weekend’s Video will be posted by Sunday at 12PM EST. Thank you for your understanding and good luck for the remainder of the week.
