Market Summary:
I think Monday’s gap down had very little to do with a Chinese property management company (Evergrande) that very few people even knew existed a few days ago. I think it had more to do with the unwinding of positions after a quarterly options expiration last Friday, and also to do with the normal seasonal weakness that is expected around this time. Nevertheless, the reason doesn’t matter. What’s more important to me is the price action of leading stocks. As I mentioned in my Market Note to Members on Monday Night (9/20), I was not turning bearish because “the majority of leading stocks sold off Monday on lighter volume and are still above their key moving averages.”
In this video, I review many of the stocks that continue to act well and are helping me with my bullish conviction. I used the pullback earlier in the week to add to my exposure and I am currently fully invested. Of course, if anything changes, I will be quick to reduce my exposure, but as I’ve mentioned several times, I am bullish into year-end. I am still expecting some volatility over the near-term, but getting strong entry points will hopefully help me deal with some of this volatility. As always, I only give my investment levels as a guide, but do what works for you. If you are a newer trader and/or have high levels of cash, then stick to your plan and proceed slowly. In other words, don’t feel the need to rush into any new positions. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar, which will be Thursday, September 23rd at 7PM EST. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week.
