Market Summary:
Keep it simple. The market is healthy. The major indexes are above their 50-day moving averages, and the price action of stocks is strong. That doesn’t mean to get complacent. Make sure to get strong entry points and stick to a loss cutting discipline in case any positions turn against you. The main factor that is keeping me positive on this market is the broad number of stocks that continue to act well. In this video, I review many stocks in the following sectors: Mega Cap, Semiconductors, Medical Products, Software, and Energy. As William O’Neil says, most traders fail because they buy “nothing to write home about” stocks. Make sure to stay focused on the best you can find, and I provide a strong list in this video.

Short-term, the Nasdaq Composite is a little extended above its 21-day moving average. For members who like to be tactical, if we see a pullback early in the week, it could be an opportunity to put cash to work. We still have to get through any last minute end of the quarter portfolio adjustments, but after that, the market is likely to be seasonally strong as we head into a long holiday weekend, and as new money is likely to flow into the market at the beginning of the new quarter.

Once we start the new quarter, the market could provide a strong opportunity over the next 3-4 weeks, as the news will shift from interest rates to the upcoming earnings season. I always talk about how the market is healthy 2-3 times per year. The next few weeks could be one of those times as we start to anticipate the next set of earnings. Of course, there will be normal pullbacks and shakeouts along the way, but the 21-day moving average on the Nasdaq Composite should provide decent support and give us a strong trend in July. It’s possible this trend could last into the next Fed meeting (July 28), when the market will start to get concerned again about interest rates and the Fed tapering their bond buying purchases. As always, we will take this one day at a time, but keep it simple. Focus on strong stocks, get strong entry points, and lean bullish. If you have any questions, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be Monday, June 28th, at 7:30PM EST. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
