Market Summary:
Market conditions slowly continue to improve. As you know, 90% of what I use to judge the health of the market is the price action of stocks. I am noticing more and more stocks setting up, putting in tight price action in their weekly charts, breaking out on strong volume, holding their breakouts, pulling back on light volume, and holding logical support levels. Bottom line, this overall strong price action is nice to see and showing us continued signs of improvement in market health. In addition, all the major indexes are above their 50-day moving averages, and sentiment is muted (not too bearish, not too bullish). For example, CNN Fear/Greed is currently 54, and NAAIM is right around its recent average.

We still have to get through some upcoming events in June. As I’ve mentioned, there’s a Fed meeting this week, the annual Russell 2000 rebalancing on June 25, and end of the quarter portfolio adjustments. We could see some added volatility around these events, but I’m not expecting any sustained downside. I’m still expecting the markets to move to new highs once we get through these events, but we need to be patient until then. In this video, I review the growth sectors and stocks to stay focused on. Many stocks are putting in tight price action and providing strong entry points. I also discuss using key moving averages (such as the 21-day EMA and the 50-day) to guide with entry points, and to not chase stocks when they are too extended from these areas.

If you have any questions about stocks not mentioned in this video, you can ask them during the next webinar which will be this Sunday, June 13th at 11AM EST. I will be going over more of my screening process during the first half of the webinar. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
