Market Summary:
Last week, we saw the three things I wanted to see for growth stocks to start participating again. The Nasdaq Composite had a follow through day on Wed 3/31, it got back above its 50-day on Thurs 4/1, and some stocks started to setup and breakout. So far this week, the price action has been strong. We gapped up on Monday, as the first Monday of the month/quarter tends to see money come into the market. Tuesday and Wednesday saw sideways consolidation on lighter and lighter volume. From here, I think the Nasdaq still needs to consolidate because it’s a little extended short-term. Whether the index continues sideways, or sees a quick shakeout, either way, I feel it will resolve higher over the next 4-6 weeks. The S&P 500 is also a little extended short-term, but there’s very little distribution and its uptrend looks very strong.

As I’ve mentioned several times, after we saw some setups in Semiconductors and Medical Products, what we specifically wanted to see were those setups breakout (check), hold their breakout (so far, so good), and then see more stocks setup behind it. In this video, I present some setups that I will be keeping a close eye on over the next few days. If they also work, it could be information that a sustained uptrend is coming over the near-term. I am optimistic that this will happen, but there’s nothing wrong with taking half-positions and letting the market continue to prove itself. As always, I will take this day-by-day and I’m happy to answer any questions during the next webinar which will be Thursday, April 8th at 7:30PM EST. Thank you and good luck for the remainder of the week!
