Market Summary:
The market had a strong move off support in the beginning of February and digested nicely this week through time. I discuss in this video how digesting through time (vs. through price) is a sign of strength because it shows there were very few sellers after the strong move. We also had some shakeouts on Wednesday and Thursday during the day which I also view as healthy because it shakes out the weak hands and creates some doubt. That is why I stress the importance of getting a strong entry point. It helps you deal with normal volatility and pullbacks along the way because, in theory, you have a cushion from your entry point.

My game plan this week is to stay fairly invested (between 70-80%) because it’s a week of regular cycle options expiration. This week tends to trend to the upside. If we see strength, I will look to lighten up and take some profits. Overall, the market is strong and there’s very little distribution. If you have a longer-term time frame, stick with the trend. If you like to vary your investment levels, there’s nothing wrong with taking profits, especially if we see some strength this week. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend and if you have any questions, please ask them during the next webinar which will be Monday, February 15th at 7PM EST.
