Market Summary:
The market continues to be incredibly resilient. The main reasons include: 1) The low interest rate environment 2) Tons of liquidity and 3) The market anticipating a recovery in the economy later this year. All those factors combined with the constant sector rotation are helping to keep the major averages propped up. One thing I’ve been conflicted with recently is that the market is due for a normal pullback at some point but the resiliency is beyond impressive. The way I reconcile this is to continue with my strategy of taking profits into strength and keeping some cash available for the inevitable pullbacks. As always, your decisions should be based on your own timeframe and risk tolerance. For example, if you don’t have time to watch the market closely or have a longer-term timeframe, then I suggest using lighter positions and giving them room.
No matter your timeframe, I’m trying to do two main things with this product: 1) Expose you to a strong group of stocks and 2) Provide you with strong entry points. The most consistent growth sectors that have showed up on my screens over the past several months include: Mega Caps, Software, Semiconductors, Biotech, and Medical Products. Focusing on these sectors increases your probabilities of success because that’s where I am finding the strongest growth and the best technical patterns. Of course, if other sectors consistently start to show up, I will pass them along in these videos. If we continue to see strength into the end of this week, I will look to reduce my exposure as the week after regular cycle expiration (which is next week) tends to see some profit taking. Good luck for the remainder of the week!
