In this video, I explain some of my reasoning for locking in profits earlier this week. Please keep in mind there is a big difference between managing money for clients and trading on your own. Part of the reason I share my story in this video is to let you know one of the areas I am looking to improve on and that is consistently locking in gains. As always, I encourage people to make their own decisions based on their investment objectives and risk tolerance. Overall, the market is very strong, there is very little distribution, the leaders are acting well, sentiment is mostly negative, and the Fed is on our side. A few negatives are the recent excessive equity call buying and the upcoming seasonality. If the market goes higher, I will still participate with my positions, and if the market pulls back a bit, I will look to put cash to work. I have shifted from approximately 50-80% invested down to 30-50% invested. As always, this can change depending on market conditions. Good luck for the remainder of the week and remember to always protect your confidence.
