A Seasonally Strong Time of the Year
Nothing has changed with my Fourth Quarter Game Plan that I outlined on 9/16/13. 1) There will be no Fed taper until next year. 2) The S&P 500 could see +5-7% upside from here, but individual stocks could potentially see significantly more upside. My feeling is that individual stock pickers will be rewarded more than ETF traders. 3) Money managers will continue to chase the Big Cap names: $GOOG $AAPL $PCLN $AMZN $NFLX $V $WFM [...]

How Twitter Can Instantly 10x Their Valuation
This is an open letter to @jack, @biz, @ev, @dickc, Twitter executives, @fredwilson, and all other Twitter investors. I originally joined Twitter for the porn and free iPad offers (they say start every speech with a joke, right?). I immediately found tremendous business advantages from it. Through @howardlindzon's StockTwits platform, he allows me to share my stock ideas and thoughts on the markets through a medium that didn't exist otherwise. I provide content and if potential [...]
Don’t Be Afraid of New Highs
I wrote a blog post recently about 5 stocks that could be higher by year-end. I discussed them in this video I did for Yahoo Finance. I received many comments about this post and the most common one was: "How can you pick stocks that have already gone up so much???" Here are my thoughts: 1) Some stocks have huge potential over the longer-term. Keep in mind that $DELL $MSFT $CSCO $INTC all went up [...]
An Unusual Series of Bearish Events
On Wednesday night (8/21/13), I sat down at my desk to start my evening stock screening. An UNUSUAL sequence of bearish events occurred: 1) I went to check email and I received 2 separate notes from clients. The first one said: Thank you for protecting my IRA during this correction so far, please continue to stay defensive as a crash is coming soon. The second email said: I subscribe to a newsletter service that is [...]
Why I Love Carl Icahn
Everyone on Wall Street knows that Carl Icahn is a billionaire activist investor; but for the longest time, when people heard his name, he was associated with words such as: corporate raider, bully, and ruthless. Earlier this year, something happened that changed all this. He made a few TV appearances that allowed the general public to see the REAL Carl Icahn. Mr. Icahn has done hundreds of interviews throughout his career, but his appearances earlier [...]
